This project involved the design and project management to extend the existing house in Upminster. The client required the existing traditional house to be opened up at the rear using contemporary architectural forms and design.
The new space allows a fantastic living space for cooking, eating and entertaining. Contemporary detailing throughout the extension is provided with clever use of contemporary materials. Western Red Cedar cladding provides the contrast against the zinc and rendered walls. Angled material abutments give a new dynamic to the external aesthetics of the design.
