We have designed, gained planning permission and building regulations approval for this unique contemporary home. The site was a former double garage and there were many construction considerations with the small plot and adjacent to a main railway line.
The strategy was to design a house partly on stilts to gain the required amenity space with ancillary spaces on the remaining ground floor, the living accommodation and 1 No. bedroom over the two remaining floors.
The architectural feature is the upper level pigmento brown zinc standing seam roof and framed a-symmetric gable with inset contemporary brickwork. The upper structure sits perfectly on the contemporary grey brick podium and steel supports.
The design incorporates:
- Utility room, WC and study to the ground floor
- Large open plan living, dining and kitchen to the first floor.
- 1 No. Bedroom with en-suite and dressing room to the second floor.
The project is currently on site and more information to follow on this exciting project.
