This project involved the design and project management for a full refurbishment and overhaul of a 1960's chalet style house. The client required an en-suite extension to the existing master bedroom and an open plan living space that blurred the boundaries between the internal and external spaces.
The new external appearance introduced blue/grey engineering brick, slot style windows, sliding bi-folding doors and western red cedar cladding. The interior of the house was designed with bespoke front door, stairs, kitchen and an unexpected en-suite doorway!
The client has also now completed phase 2 of the refurbishment to include a contemporary curved office / play room clad in anthracite zinc.
We are currently designing Phase 3 which will include a glazed box dining room, two- storey front extension to create a larger living space and third bedroom on the first floor.
