The developers required a full architects’ service for this project from conception through to completion - coordinating all consultants and being a team leader for 13 flats and Commercial ground floor space.
The main challenge was to be able to create a contemporary form within Brentwood’s conservation area and provide another link through from the High Street to William Hunter Way.
With large retail units occupying the ground floor, a large, full height atrium floods the bridged walkways to each floor with natural light. A selection of 2 bed and 3 bed flats occupy the higher level floors with penthouse suites housed within the top zinc box. Contemporary brick construction will create a fantastic external aesthetic complementing the contemporary framing render detailing.
Spatial Design Architects were supported in full by Brentwood planning, design and conservation officers throughout the process and works are due on site April 2016.
